As salaamu alaikum, well I am very studious and often read much about Islam. I am very commited to learning and practiseing Islam. I have learned and studied from various mashaikh and continue to do so, inorder to get closer to Allah. I was born a muslim and I am half sudanese and purto rican.I am always looking for ways to improve my life, like getting closer to Allah. As one of the Mashiekh said:" call yourself to acount before you are called to acount.")We should never feel like there is no room for improvement and that we are not doing wrong, committing sins, or making mistakes. We are human and we are going to fall short, however we should always look into ourselves and take into acount our shortcomings and seek the help of Allah and ask for forgiveness. For verily our salif did so and there are many reminders that explain this and that we should always be doing something that will get us closer to Allah that is inaccordance with the book of Allah and the example of our Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him) and that of our pious predessors.
Reading, remembering Allah, salah, dhikr, fasting, All forms of worship to please my lord for that is what I am here for to please and worship him.
all any deeds that may displease Allah, idle talks, gossip, slander, backbitting, spreading of tales, wasting time, etc.
Quran, lectures, Abu Tasneem Dawud Adib, Abu Muhammad maghribbi, Abu uwais, Taalib Abdullah, and more. All on the salif Dawah.
Quran, Ahadith, tafseer, sirah, fiqh, Aqidah, to name a few books like, The conditions of La ilaha illah, three fundimental tanets, Tafsir Ibn Kathir, and a lot more.

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi, brothers and sisters. As a reminder to myself and others we should always take the time to look into our lives and take to account our deeds, wheather these deeds, actions etc, are in conformity with what Allah and His Messenger have said or that of our pious predecessors have said or done. Also that of our Ulimah.Seek a means to get closer to Allah, by way of our examples and may Allah guide us all and keep us on the siratil mustaqeem aamin.
