About Me:
So many muslims, i'm sure i'll learn a thing or two and improve myself as a Muslim inshallah. Oh, and i try to crack jokes, so if you laugh it'll make me feel better (I'm messing hahaha):)

It would be nice to try to attain the level of imaan described by ibn Taymiyya(rh):

"What can my enemies possibly do to me? My paradise is in my heart; wherever I go it goes with me, inseparable from me. For me, prison is a place of (religious) retreat; execution is my opportunity for martyrdom and exile from my town is but a chance to travel."

Islam isn't 'broke', yet some people(Muslims) persist on 'fixing it'.

Books like An Nawawis' Arba'een (40 hadith) and Riyad as Saliheen are essential for Muslims, striving to improve our character. Also The Ideal Muslim/Muslimah.
Currently reading a few literature including Abu Hanifa's al Fiqh al Akbar.

Does Law books count? Can't remember the last fiction i read.

Imam Malik:
Imam Malik was asked 40 questions or so by a group from the west (Morocco or Spain), he replied la a'lam (i don't know)/wallhu 'alam(Allah knows better) 36 times. The questioner said to him I travelled all this way for you to tell me that you don't know? what will i tell the people? Malik said tell them: Malik does not know.

Imam Shaf'i
Imam Shaf'i was said to have photographic memory, to the extent that he'd need to cover up the opposite page of what he was reading, lest it entered his memory. on one occasion, his memory had a slight problem. So he queried his imam. and his imam said to him think back to a sin/misdeed you may have committed. Shafi remembered that on one occasion, he was walking and by mistake his eyes caught the ankle of a woman for a split second.

Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal
Imam ahmad bin Hanbal was persecuted by other muslims and he would say to some of his students all this would stop if he said one thing. Those who persecuted him, would say 'say it ahmad, say that the qur'an was created'. The preserver of Islam, imam ahmad bin hanbal never gave his opponents that pleasure.
Ahmad would also make the d'ua for his muslim brothers 'O' Allah forgive my brother so and so.' Every night before he would sleep.

Imam Abu Hanifa
Imam Abu Hanifa, had to answer a question from his mother to the imam whom his mother sought to question about a particular matter. Such was his humility and nobility. And he would never go upstairs when his mother was downstairs; and would always sit at a level lower than her (ie on the floor).
