CALIFORNIA LEGALIZE GAY/LESBIAN MARRIAGE? WHAT ABOUT MUSLIM PLURAL MARRIAGE??

(CNN) -- The California Supreme Court struck down the state's ban on same-sex marriage Thursday, saying sexual orientation, like race or gender, "does not constitute a legitimate basis upon which to deny or withhold legal rights."

In a 4-3 120-page ruling issue, the justices wrote that "responsibly to care for and raise children does not depend upon the individual's sexual orientation."



"We therefore conclude that in view of the substance and significance of the fundamental constitutional right to form a family relationship, the California Constitution properly must be interpreted to guarantee this basic civil right to all Californians, whether gay or heterosexual, and to same-sex couples as well as to opposite-sex couples," Chief Justice Ronald George wrote for the majority.



ARE NOT MUSLIMS ENTITLED TO BE MARRIED, IN POLYGYNY, ACCORDING TO ISLAM?? WHAT DO YOU THINK??????

Voters recently defeated the California Supreme Court Ruling allowing such conduct in a propersition during the presidential election. That is being appealed. We shall see what happens.

Also i think if they do ever legalize it.. don't be surprised if they decided it would be legal for a woman as well as a man to have more than one spouse ( though not allowed in Islam for women) these people after all are allowing same sex marriages.. Before you know it children will be able to do and say whatever they choose with protection from the "law"  and they will end up blaming the parents.. allowing the "children" to take over.. who knows.. i am worried at the state of this country.. these people are obviously crazy.. and could care less about the wrath of God.

I think gay marriages should be allowed since it's none of my business what two adults want to love . I also think then plural marriages should be allowed between adults as well.

because this country is not an Islamic one they probably wouldn't allow polygamy to be legal.. how sick are the minds of such people that allow such sinful things to happen.. Sometimes i wonder if they are going to legalize fornication of animals too... sickos!!

 whatever happened to freedom of religion? doesn't that constitute we should be able to be proud moslems, and if need be for our husbands to have more than one wife if he so chooses (but not just to do it for that sake of doing it) if a man CAN support more than one, and support them both equally.. why not??

i was trying to tell an ultra-liberal friends once how unfair it is that homosexuality is more acceptable than polygamy these days. her response was that polygamists often marry off young girls. so what- have we not heard of boys being molested by older men? so you should regulate that sort of thing, but if you're gonna make one legal then the other should be made legal as well!

for thousands of years it has been the other way around because, well, it makes more sense from a biological standpoint. i think the reason for this societal shift may be due in part to global overpopulation. but yeah i agree with you, it's ridiculous that it has to be this way.
